The Plainview Residents Association hired a company that removed 3 coyotes in the neighborhood. However, the office has received information that there are still some coyotes in the neighborhood. We will be continuing with the removal process which will take some time. Attached is a link from Kentucky Wildlife https://fw.ky.gov/Wildlife/Pages/Coyotes.aspx this link has information on how to prevent coyotes from coming into our areas. One of the main issues in our neighborhood are cats that are roaming the neighborhood. The City of Jeffersontown has a leash law and that includes cats. If you let your cat leave your property, it is a violation and the HOA will place a fine on your account. Please do not feed any stray cats. Bird feeders attract mice and squirrels, which then attract the coyotes. Remember to not leave pet food outside and secure all trash. If you have a raccoon problem at your property, you must have them removed. Also, remember to clean your grills after use. These are all things you can do to help with this issue. If you happen to see a coyote in your area, please contact the office at 502-244-8240 or email at plainviewassoc@gmail.com, please leave a detailed message on when and where you spotted the coyotes. Please subscribe to get updated information on this matter. Thanks for your cooperation.
