Please read the message from The City of Jeffersontown Public Works on the upcoming snow storm and snow removal.
Good Morning friends, we hope everyone is well. Mother nature is not very happy with us, it has been a pretty crazy week with weather. With the incoming snow storm, we are monitoring the event and will update more once I know more.
I want to get an early start for planning, Please Please Please remove the vehicles from Cul De Sacs, or we will not be able to clear the courts. We run into this problem during all snow events, then we receive calls a day or two later wanting us to return to clean the courts. If you have to park on a street on a main road, talk with neighbors and park on one side of the roadway. We would like to see the cars off the road if possible.
Please spread the word, and spread the word to your friends in the snow removal business, grass companies and so on, when they are clearing private lots DO NOT PUSH THAT SNOW INTO OUR ROADWAYS. That is very dangerous, we will push the snow back into the entrance of said business.
We very much appreciate your help with this event, and as always plan accordingly and stay safe. The temps are going to be very cold, this snow will be on the ground for a good while.
One last thing, if we get the accumulation they’re talking, please understand, when we plow, there will be snow in front of your mailbox and your driveway. I totally understand the frustration, but their is noway around it, other than not to plow. That is not an option 🙂
Prepare, plan accordingly, stay safe, stay warm.
Thanks for your help
Your friends at Jeffersontown Public Works Department
